Forward-looking school that inspires a growth mindset

Our Vision

Growing minds. Growing purpose.

At Green School, our mission is to create a nurturing and dynamic learning environment where students are inspired to reach their full potential as academically-driven, socially-conscious, and environmentally-responsible global citizens.

Through immersive activities such as gardening, outdoor sports, yoga, or drama, we aim to cultivate the skills and values that will enable our students to thrive not only as individuals but as responsible stewards of the planet. By promoting inquiry-based learning, collaborative experiences, and resilience-building opportunities we aim to equip our students with the tools, knowledge, and mindset necessary to prosper in a rapidly changing world while making a positive impact on their surroundings.

Our vision is to create a generation of confident, compassionate, and creative thinkers, equipped with the academic strength, emotional intelligence, and environmental awareness to lead in a rapidly changing world.

We blend academic excellence with values like empathy, sustainability, innovation, and global citizenship, helping children grow into well-rounded individuals.

Our Educational
approach

Where Cambridge meets creativity and sustainability

Green School Belgrade combines the traditional, highly esteemed and globally recognised Cambridge International Curriculum with a hands-on, forward-thinking Green Curriculum designed to engage students with real-world challenges and creative, nature-based learning. Rooted in the principles of the Cambridge programme, we blend academic excellence with experiential learning, integrating sustainability, overall well-being, and practical engagement at the core of our approach. We are committed to empowering students with a deep respect for nature and a profound understanding of the vital connections between human welfare, ecological health, and social and emotional growth.

The Cambridge Curriculum: Towards Academic Excellence

The Cambridge International curriculum establishes a global benchmark for education, widely recognized by universities across the world. Its approach is flexible, challenging, and inspiring, blending cultural sensitivity with an international outlook. The curriculum seeks a balance between the search for meaning and understanding, and the acquisition of essential skills and knowledge required in higher education and beyond.

Cambridge curriculum, acknowledged
worldwide, enables students to :
  • cultivate a deep curiosity and a lasting enthusiasm for learning
  • master topics in depth and foster skills needed for future study
  • connect different aspects of a subject, developing higher-order thinking skills which ensure that learning remains engaging and fulfilling
  • make continuous progress through key stages, as it adopts a 'spiral' approach, building on previous learning to help advance students' study
Our students continue their journey at Chartwell International School, where they transition confidently into IGCSE, A Levels, or other globally recognized pathways.

The Green Curriculum: Learning for the Real World

We believe, on the other hand, that education is not solely about mastering core programme-based concepts- it’s about seeing children learn by doing, developing inquisitiveness, engaging in meaningful discussions, having fun, challenging themselves and experiencing daily growth as whole individuals. It’s about being part of a vibrant community where students can explore, flourish, and find joy in their learning journey.

With outdoor classes, nature-based and cross-curricular learning and projects, we foster a spirit of experimenting and problem-solving, allowing students to connect theory to practice and gain a holistic understanding of the world.

Big Line
Our Green Curriculum gives students the chance to:
  • get their hands on real-world Farm-to -Table projects
  • Take part in nature walks and nature scavenger hunts or eco-friendly orienteering
  • Nurture their creativity through nature-inspired art, music, drama and storytelling, developing their public speaking skills, overcoming stage fright.
  • Tackle environmental challenges with STEM for Sustainability
  • Be involved in a Waste Reduction campaign or create a Green Travel Plan

This is education with purpose — education rooted in nature, designed for the future. Our goal is to INSPIRE our students to work hard towards reaching their full potential and holistic growth. This approach encompasses:

I
INQUIRY — based learning - encourages students to ask questions, explore ideas, and seek answers

N
NATURE INTEGRATION — learning flows between indoor and outdoor environments

S
SUSTAINABILITY — the importance of ecological balance, conserving resources, and creating sustainable systems

P
PROJECTS — we teach by doing, building, exploring, and solving

I
INNOVATION — focus on creativity, problem-solving and thinking outside the box

R
RESPECT — encompassing respect for oneself, others, and the natural world

E
EMPOWERMENT — equipping students with the tools, skills, and confidence to take ownership of their education and make a positive impact on the world

Our Students

Confident. Conscious. Creative. Curious

At Green School Belgrade students develop far more than knowledge — they grow a mindset. At our school, your child won’t just learn how to succeed — they’ll learn how to contribute, how to adapt, and how to thrive in a fast-changing world.

Based on their age and level, they fall into one of the following groups:

Key Stage 1 (Year 1-2)

Students discover the world around them through hands-on, play-based learning, fostering a sense of curiosity and respect for nature.

Students build on their discoveries, developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they begin to engage with sustainability practices and work collaboratively on environmental projects.

Key Stage 3 (Year 7-9)

Students challenge environmental issues, develop leadership skills, and take action in their communities, using their knowledge to advocate for sustainability and implement real-world solutions.
